Working/Working Out
Being able to experience what its like to work at a restaurant is a very life challenging experience. Ever since I started working with my parents, I
started to notice how the real world works. Having to pay bills for all sorts of items, managing the employees, and most of all knowing how to run a
restaurant. Before I started working with them, I thought it wasn’t going to be as bad as I thought it was. A couple weeks later I started to notice
how important it really is to be standing up for more than 5 hours. It gets pretty exhausting, especially when it gets really busy. I personally don’t l
like working in the restaurant industry, but it really does open up my mind. It makes me think a lot, and how important my education is to get me
somewhere further in life. I would never like working at another fast food restaurant because of how much energy and effort it takes. I
understand that you need this in any job, but restaurants are just not my thing. I would prefer working at a fashion store where i would definitely
put more effort because it’s a type of job that I would actually like. I know more about clothes then food, and for me its definitely more
interesting. It’s actually a job worth getting paid for, and its crazy how jobs makes you notice what you want in life.
Ever since school started, I decided to start working out more. I honestly love working out, but school sometimes does get in the way. I decided that
every monday I would go with some friends to the Community Center and work out. We usually go around 11 or 12, and end up leaving around 4.
When I’m working out i get this extreme good feeling, especially when I’m done. I don’t work out because I want to “loose weight”, I work out
because of the way i feel after. When I'm at the gym, time fly’s by really quick. If it was up to me, I would work out everyday, but right now my
education is more important.

2. On January 28, 1996 my mother gave birth to me. It was around 11 am when she first saw me. My father was really excited to have his first daughter. I was born in San Diego, CA, the beach life.
3. My parents came to the US around their teenage years. They didn’t meet each other till they were around 22 years old. Both my parents family lives in mexico, and thats where they decided to get married. My parents have been working in the restaurant industry for about 10+ years now. Currently right now they own a mexican food restaurant in West Glenwood. Before moving to Glenwood Springs my parents also used to own a restaurant in California. They ended up selling it, and that is why they decided to come live over here. My dad is a really tall guy and was born on March 18. My mom is the opposite of my dad and is really short, she was born on January 18. My parents have affected me by teaching me a variety of things. They have taught me how hard it is to actually be self employed, how to succeed in life, and how important having an education is.
4. I have two siblings, a sister and a brother. They are both younger than me, Jocelyn is 16 years old, and my brother Julian is 13 years. My sister is currently a sophomore at Glenwood Springs High School, and my brother is currently a 7th grader at Glenwood Springs Middle School. My sister can be really mean at times but thats just the way she is. I never want her to change, without this personality she would be a whole different person. The relationship with me and my brother is still getting better within time. He’s a really funny kid that loves to mess around with me, but when it comes to meeting other people he gets really shy and stops being himself.

8. Some talents that i have in life would be being bilingual. Being raised with a mexican family was a gift because i get to speak two languages, i get to experience the religion aspect of a different culture, and having family outside the country. My positive characteristics would be being active, artistic, and outgoing. These characteristics help me stay away from any type of problems. When i have too much on my mind i usually start working out while i listen to music, this makes me get back in my zone and helps me forget about negative things. Being outgoing also helps me in life because theres a lot of wonderful people out there that really need to be heard.
9. The weaknesses in my life is being really emotional and sensitive. Within time i end up trusting people really fast, and i get too emotional over the littlest things. For example getting mad makes me really emotional, i can’t control myself and sometimes it makes me want to cry.
10. My whole family is catholic. This is the religious belief i was raised with since i was very little.
11. Beauty is finding the light in the mist of darkness, finding hope where all hope has been lost, noticing equality that everyone else has ignored, it is eye contact that slowly turns into a smile, beauty is every unique thought that we failed to express.
12. Friendship is when you have a strong relationship with a group of people. It can be females and males. They’re the type of people you can count on, they will always find a way to make you smile, help you out when you need it, and
13. Home is a place where you can definitely be yourself. Be around loved ones who don’t judge you for who you are, who don’t criticize you and no matter what happens, will always be there for you.
14. One of the most important characteristics in being a parent is being able to be responsible. A parent needs to be able to take care of their own children, and have a job as well. Being responsible means working for your children, to feed them, buy utilities, and most important pay bills. A parent should also always provide education in their kids life. Parents must always be supportive and loving whether they give their kids everything they want or not
15. One thing i really need to focus on for my future happiness would be getting rid of all the negative things. I want my life to be successful, and having negative people around me isn’t going to help.
